Miss firing 1 and 4 and over heating off and on

Has any one had this issue my 2011 mini countryman s all4 started to over heat today while driving to work 45 mins away when I turned the Ac on it took a minute before the cold came in to play then warning lite disappeared about 3 mins later the cold air stop coming out and the overheating light came back on.the car had power issues After work I went to take off and about 2 minutes later it's over heating i check the temp with my obd2 reader via Bluetooth and it was at 255 not sure how that could be that hot in 2 min either way it acted the same way all the way home any thoughts?

You shouldn't be driving the car, that's my thought of the day. See mechanic.

The temp gauges in the MINI ( All models ) is not a gauge as one would think a gauge is supposed to work.

The MINI gauge has only the means to read three temps.

1- Stone dead cold - first thing in the morning.
2- Normal operating temp - usually mid way up the gauge lines.
3- Overheating condition - Ooops, I just blew a head gasket....

It will not creep up the dial providing any forewarning. It will read normal temp to oh-**** very quickly. When this happens, pull over immediately and shut engine off. Call AAA. Do not keep driving.

Overheat in conjunction with multiple misfires typically indicate upper cylinder head repair.

well it was a bad thermostat that caused the over heating they could not explain the miss fires So they replaced all the coils and new spark plugs
