Second clutch issue
Greetings everyone,
Last May, my 2012 ALL4 needed a clutch at just 29k. I'm a responsible driver who has owned many manual cars over the years and driven many hundreds of thousands of miles in manual cars from the 1960's to present day with never a problem save a slave cylinder issue in a 1983 944. So I was shocked that a car with so few miles would need a clutch. Thankfully, MINI USA did the right thing and covered the replacement cost.
Fast forward 11 months and 8k miles later and it needs to be replaced AGAIN! This seems crazy to me and now I am getting much more push back from MINI on any type of assistance. They offered nothing at first and have now agreed to pay for the initial teardown and inspection ($900) - and if it's deemed that it's "normal" wear and tear I'll be on the hook for the rest. It needs a new clutch and I can't get it done much cheaper anywhere else and don't have the time or patience to do it myself so I have approval to move forward. Wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar or any advice. I have read many articles on the early clutch issues but they assured me this had been replaced with the upgraded clutch used in later models.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know the original part number for the flywheel for the 2012 Countryman ALL4? When they replaced it last year they claim to have replaced it with an upgraded clutch. Here is the part number 21-20-8-606-067
i am wondering if that was the upgraded clutch the MINI switched to in 2014 or so (and if that even matters). They called me to confirm today that after tearing down the tranny they are validating that the failure at 11 months and 8k miles is normal wear and tear. Looking for any help/guidance in this as that seems completely unreasonable to me. Thanks!
