I have a 2012 countryman base engine.
When I start the vehicle the idle rpm goes to around 3500 and then after 30 seconds or so it drops to around 1000 to 1500. I assume this is when it come off the high idle.
No engine light and no codes when I put a reader on it.
Does this for every start no matter if car warm of cold.
swapped the two vanos solenoids positions but didn't change anything.
unplugged the mass air flow sensor and the high idle issue stopped however of course I have an engine light now.
Could the mass air flow sensor cause this normally I have always seen a car not idle when the MAF is failing?
