Center Display LED Ring Strangeness

Hi,

Most of the time when I press the Start switch twice to turn off the engine of my 2015 F56, everything shuts down no problem. But sometimes, the LED ring around the center display lights up (red, white, and blue) for a few seconds and then shuts off.

Anybody else have this happen? Is it anything to worry about?

I've not heard of that or seen it on my F55.

Are your climate control ***** ok? Maybe they are lodged between potentiometer stops... blue white and red only happen on temperature adjustments for me.

For testing how about going into settings and shutting the lights off. See what happens. I never noticed it cause mine are off all the time by design.

Thanks but I think I figured it out. I always turn the car off by pressing the Start switch twice. It seems like if I do it too fast, the LED ring lights up as I wrote. If I pause a little between the presses - no problem.

Seems kind of strange but that's what seems to be the problem.

Thanks again.

Guess it is not really a "problem" then. Couldn't resist the cheekiness!

It's actually happened now a couple times even pressing the Start switch slowly.

And as for the cheekiness - no blood, no foul, no problem.

I didn't like that I had to press twice to really shut off the car. There is a e-sys coding you can do so that you only press it once, and when the driver door opens it completely shuts off.
