09 JCW - H&R springs and H Sport rear sway bar

i have read various threads, most of them older...

I'm about to have H&R springs and H Sport rear sway bar installed on my 2009 JCW.

Questions:
Anyone else with a 09+ JCW have this setup?

Should i be concerned that the change of springs will create extra wear on CV joints or other parts?

Will this void my warranty?

Any other comments / suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
Steve

I don't think they will mess up the CV joints, and it won't mess up the warranty unless the installer screws something up and stuff falls apart afterward (which has happened to some DIY-ers). The main thing to watch for is if you lower the car a lot with the springs. If you do then you have to realign it and sometimes need a camber plate. But that's usually not needed. The swaybar doesn't have any problems as long as it's mounted correctly.

Thanks TheBigNewt.

I decided to take a different route and do the JCW suspension instead. It will cost more but i'm more comfortable with the factory kit and dealer install.

Plus i read so many posts about vibration after lowering that the JCW suspension seemed a "safer" solution. I'm doing this for performance more than the lowered look.

I have the H&R RSS coilovers, Alta 22mm sway bar, poly bushings and rear control arms. I think it is a great set up but not for the cushy driver...

Spinned, that car is sick. I love the painted moldings.

I agree, that's a great look. Better ease it up over the speedbumps lol. I'd be tempted to go the JCW susp route myself. I think it's about $2k installed, and lowers the car about 1/2". It's not that harsh either, from what I've read.

Can be had with install and alignment for under $1500.

As I recall the JCW suspension is not adjustable. You may find that you want a custom height for the suspension because of the wheel or tire height, speed bumps, track height or curb height. This can only be done with the adjustable suspension. Also you should decide how soft you want the suspension. If that all adds up to the JCW suspension, have at it, but I like the H&R myself.
