Not true. I bought a set of Tuxmat and they fit really well.

What I like is that it comes with little clip to hold your matt firmly in place under or right up against the plastic trim.

It doesn't have any Mini or JCW logo though.

Oh right...I see Weathertech has competition, finally...

I guess it comes down to price and weight. I chose Weathertech because it was lightweight.

Let's add one more to the mix. I love these mats. They act like rubber mats but look way better. Maxpider are not listed on there website but I got them on ebay.

I never knew they existed either until I saw them at Costco. They are light weight with a leather feel on top and felt material on the bottom. Costco's website site had them for other models not the countryman so I bought from Amazon instead. I installed just before winter. If you could wait i will give you an update afterwards to see how they hold up.

Price wise they were slight cheaper than WeatherTech, which I was considering too but when I noticed the Tuxmat ones cover the carpet area around/above the foot well i was sold.

Installation took a bit of work but once you got the hang of the first area the rest are a breeze.

I have Maxpider ones in my R60. They are junk. failing after about 2 years. Just starting to shed near the accelerator pedal.

I don't use all weather mats.
I have WeatherTech for winter.
Mini Rubber Mats for spring and Fall
Mini carpet mats for summer

I liked the Husky brand mats on my previous car, but they do not have any for the Countryman yet unfortunately. They are also scanned to fit exactly like the Weathertech ones.

I tried the OEM rubber mats when I got my Countryman, but was not impressed, especially the trunk mat that kept sliding out...

I finally got WeatherTech kit (front, rear, and trunk) and they fit great, no issue!
