New Owner - 2018 Countryman

I debated over doing a brand new 2019 build, but they had a 2018 dealer model on the lot that had almost everything on it, for a lot less, so I bit the bullet. Say hello to the Mattmobile! This is my first Mini and so far I absolutely love it. There are some quirks I'm getting used to (that dial should TOTALLY move DOWN items when you turn it right and UP items when you turn it left...not backwards how it does it) but I am very happy with my choice.

Welcome to NAM, great looking MINI.

Now when you want to really know what a MINI can do, take a trip up the Appalachians and try some twisites out.

It’s a flux capacitor... old concept from around 1955 and realized in 1985.

Great looking car and plate frame.

As is the front plate as well, but we still need roads...

Awww... you got the HUD. So jelly. The infotainment dial direction thing threw me off for a while too, but I'm adjusting. Love the Flux Capacitor!

Flux Capacitor...it's what makes time travel possible in the Back to the Future movies. I have a little one that's a USB charger. LOL The Orange front plate and the rear plate frame are also from the BTTF movies. I'm a big fan...obviously.

The HUD was funny. I wanted one really bad. Then I test drove it...and maybe the angle was off or something but it just didn't work for me. Now that I have the car and it's adjusted I LOVE it, especially for navigation and for tuning the radio (satellite stations show up on the HUD and driving directions do too). Plus I love a digital speedometer.

So excited to be part of the Mini family. I got lucky with this one on the lot. The only toy it's missing that I really wanted is the active cruise control. That seems incredibly cool. But, I'm leasing this, so I can get it in 3 years.

AH! You beat me to the answer! And sharp eyes on the front plate. I knew I had to put that one on as soon as I picked the Island Blue. It's the perfect splash of color on the front.
