need spare tire asap

I got rid of my run-flats about 6 months ago, I carry a small compressor and a can of fix-a-flat. Never a real problem running around town, and for long trips we usually use husband's vehicle. I have to take my car on an 11 hour trip in a couple days and I need a spare. I do not need space saver or anything like that, I just need to know what spare will fit the car, I will find room for it in the back/back seat. Anybody have any ideas on spares that will fit and where I can find them? I'm in Mobile, AL.

Any reputable tire shop should be able to help you. They may not have a no frills steel wheel on short notice, but they should be able to set you up with something that works.

Don't forget.. you'll also need a jack and lug wrench. I know this isn't the most economical way to go, but if you want the factory setup, I see that Outmotoring carries the whole package linked here.

Instead of a lug wrench I'd suggest a cordless impact wrench AND a lug wrench in case whomever worked on your car last over-torqued the luggs as they often do and the impact can't break em free.

Any tire shop can likely sell you a 17" (or whatever size you have) 5x112 ~et45ish wheel with a tire on it. But like mentioned....gotta have a jack and wrench in there too.

I'd just drive it. If its bad enough to not be repaired....get roadside.

Could have a catastrophic failure on a runflat and be SOL too. They are not perfect.
