F60 Carplay finally!

Hi all,
I purchased the code update from bimmercarplay. Install was easy and everything had been working well. With the new updates to ios12 and to the waze app was really looking forward to using waze via CarPlay. It won’t work though! An error that waze can’t connect to GPS shows at the top of the screen and the app doesn’t function correctly. On reddit, I’ve read that other car models, specifically the Nissan Rogue, have had an issue similar to this, but I’ve seen no complaints about a Mini.
I have a 2017 Countryman S All4. I haven’t reached out to waze yet since the 2017 Countryman is not technically a “supported” CarPlay vehicle; I was curious if any one has had any problems?

Same thing here, google maps works fine. It looks like there is a Waze beta out there that fixes it for the Rogue, hope it works for us too!

I have 2018 Countryman S E and Carplay continues to work well with Waze. I have most-recent version of Waze, and iOS updated to most recent version. No issue seen here.
Separate question -- I have the built-in armrest wireless phone charger and I'm noticing that basically whenever I put my phone in the charger, it stops charing 10-15 minutes after I put it in. It's basically not-useable and I now have a charging cable from the USB port plugged in & drop the phone in one of the cup holders. Anyone else seen this problem with the armrest wireless charger?

Hello, I'm from Spain, I have a mini countryman from November 2017, I want to have the carplay, I have the 6.5 inch navigator, can I do the coding to have carplay? I have the following options installed in my mini:
06fp radio visual boost
06nm mini connected
06um mini navigation system

it seems that I have found some more information, by the version of my maps that is the road map europe way, I have the new 6.5 navigator known as HU_ENTRYNAV2 or also known as ENTRYNAV EVO, it carries new animations such as when you activate the mode sport, then maybe I can activate carplay?

Does your screen look similar to this. If it does you are running iDrive4 and can't install CarPlay.

more news, no bmwcoder can do it, so it seems, the team supports it technically, but they have changed some of the bmw security system for the creation of fsc and can not activate it, and I can not buy the service in bmw, because only can the cars from March 2018 on, mine is that it has the same hardware of March 2018, but without being able to use these services since my car is November 2017, I guess we will have to wait until they find the way to crack the system.

what are the hardware differences between a car produced before March 2018 and a car after March 2018 (photo attached)? Only the head unit?
