Bluetooth connectivity issues

Hi Mini owners,

I have come across an odd and frustrating problem with my 2017 Mini. Everything with Mini Connected used to work fine until recently. I have had both my android phone and wife's iPhone paired just fine. But then a few days ago I noticed my wife's iPhone was no longer listed, and while my phone's telephone and Bluetooth audio would connect, Apps wouldn't. Mini then started confusing my android phone as Apple carplay or whatever it is called. I then tried pairing my wife's iPhone back, but it wouldn't maintain connection. What's worse is that I cannot even connect, disconnect or delete my android phone from the car!!! Those functions simply do not work! Mini connected now automatically connects to all 3 telephone, audio, and Apps, but on its own will and out of my control...

My phone is Samsung Note 8 running Android 8.0. Anyone else run into such odd problem? Or know whether or how I could do a factory reset of Min Connected?

Try deleting ALL recognized phones, then adding them back. You have to delete all of them, first. See if that works. It did for me, when I was having trouble reestablishing CarPlay after I had earlier deactivated it.

Delete all the phones listed, then unplug your car battery and leave it unplugged for 5 minutes. Plug back in, pair phones again.

Not sure unplugging battery is necessary.

It resets the computer/head unit. Try it, if what you suggested doesn't work.

I had similar issues when I went from my Iphone7+ to the X where none of the app's would work. Disconnecting the Battery shouldn't be necessary as the latest Ios update and MINI connect app update corrected the issue for me.

So deleting ALL recognized phones does not work for me, since it simply does not respond at all when I try to delete my Samsung Note 8. I tap "Delete Phone" and Disconnect phone, but no response from neither of them...not even an error message. It is strange, and annoying! So I guess based on your responses, my next step is disconnecting the battery to reset the computer? Really sucks if that's the last resort :\

The bluetooth was working perfect until I updated my IOS version on my iphone 6s plus & now the bluetooth disconnects randomly & when i get a call & hang up the music starts playing again for like 5 seconds & stops playing - I then have to go back into settings & re-pair the phone for music - I will have to try & delete the phone & pair again - hopefully that works
