Awesome. Let us know how you like it.
BTW the link on a couple post back has been updated with the JCW specific versions for the Gen 3 MINIs.

I’d be very interested!

Can you point me to the link for the Elite tune for the S? I couldn't seem to find it... I see the JCW options and the 1.5l options but that's it.

I will check on that, I have only seen one CM SE in person. So not that many on the road yet, I will see if it been tested.

I have not had time to give it a good evaluation yet, but fist impressions with a short drive= SMOOTH. It really made a difference with turbo lag and there is smooth power across the range that feels GREAT!
I will have more time to drive this weekend. Keep in mind I am still breaking this Mini in and won't run it above 4500 RPM until I hit the magic 1200 miles. Then we will really get to test the Dinan!

Sweet! I am definitely looking forward to hearing your experience. Elite and maybe some new wheels/rubber after winter are my next upgrades.

FYI- i was going to wait until I hit 1200 as well, but the lead tech at my dealer said that they install many Dinan tuners on brand new cars. So, I had mine installed at 400 miles. However, I am being careful and following the break in procedure faithfully.
Can't wait to really wind it out!

Lots of debate on break in strategy. Waiting until 1200 miles to go above 4500 rpm is overly delicate IMO. That being said -I usually wait to tune after 1st oil change just to be sure the car is not a lemon. I've seen those who invested in mods before even taking delivery of a new car then have issues with the car...
Question for those with the Elite - i'm hearing a lot about "smooth" but is there a noticeable increase in the old butt dyno? Does it pull harder?

Yea, I too have stayed under 4500 PRM, but have not been perfect. My engine has been bogged a couple of times and has stalled on ill-fated 1st gear take offs, too. I have not babied the engine in the least though full throttle has been avoided thus far.
That said, I have not tuned the MINI as changing engine mapping, especially with FI, is not something I personally want to play with prior to my first oil change at 1000 miles. My F-150 has a true custom ecu re-write and can flat out fly, but that was done only after 1500 miles.
It's all good and I am looking forward to seeing what my JCW can do!

If it helps, even the lowest setting on the Sport is a noticeable boost in performance. I recently had a loaner F60 while mine was in service and you could really tell that something was lacking in the loaner. Getting my F60 back was wonderful.
Even my wife can tell a difference. That should tell you something.
I can only imagine the improvement with the Elite...

Honestly, we haven't noticed any change. Driving style makes a lot more difference than the tuner does...if you're leadfooted, that won't change.

I have visited the Dinan page a couple of times now. It is just against every fiber in my body to pay that much (899) for this.
On my truck(s), I bought an SCT device and custom tunes - these are full ecu rewrites with transmission tuning too - for less that 600. I also get free revisions to fully customize the tunes to be exactly what I want based on data logs and stating my preferences.
It is just ridiculous to see such an outrageous price.... especially for such relatively small gains and a non-configurable, static "tune."
