2018 F60 interior squeaks/rattles

I have a 2018 F60 ALL4 with a little over 10K miles there are various little squeaks and rattles in the front passenger door, lower part of the dashboard, and somewhere in the panels behind the rear seats. If the road is smooth, it's fairly quiet, but over a series of bumps it can sound like stuff is on verge of falling apart. Has anyone else experienced this with there F60s, and if so any insight on where to start to find and fix? I'm willing to take panels off and put felt tape to stop plastic-on-plastic rubbing, though I've no idea how to pull panels on a MINI.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Hello. I have had a few different rattles. One being the infamous sunroof cover rattle but now I have something coming from the rear as well. I couldn't even begin to tell you what it is but I am having the dealer take a look next week.

I had the roof rattle and the dealer took care of that with a service bulletin. Going back to the dealer is probably my best course of action, but I'm hoping that the noise doesn't suddenly stop when I hand the car over to them.

I can honestly say that at 20,000 miles, I'm still squeak/rattle-free ??

Darex, that's great! Aside from the roof rattle that was fixed, I think my noise problems started when someone backed out of an intersection and in to my car. Prior to that, I can't recall there being any other noise issues. Lucky me...

I had the same exact rattling noises recently!! I live in a cold climate (Minnesota), and this is my second winter owning my 2017 Mini, but first year parking it outside all day. The rattling first became noticeable when driving over rough road and then got so bad, where idling my cold car would create really loud rattling noise somewhere around the passenger side front and back doors. It took me 2 trips to the dealership, and a couple of days of leaving my car there for them to finally eliminate the noise. First step was adding insulation behind the back passenger side door, which seemed to help eliminate the noise when idling, but it would still rattle over rough roads, so I ended up taking it back. The mechanic and I drove around for him to see what I was talking about.

The mechanics did an iterative approach of eliminating one possible area at a time and test driving it to see if the noise was gone. They did everything from adding felt between the panel plastics, adjusting the headrests, to finally removing the front passenger seat, and discovering the air intake also rattled. The car is not noise-free now, but the annoying rattling in the front and back passenger door area is finally gone! I would strongly recommend taking it to the dealership, and driving it around with the mechanic to identify the noise for them.

Thanks for the detailed info. I actually have an appointment with the dealer today to take care of a safety recall, and they're also going to look into the noises in the cabin. Also, thanks for the good idea to drive with them so I can point out to them what I'm hearing.
