Weather tech mats with manual tranny...has it been done

I'm wondering if anyone has weather tech mats and a stick...what's the difference, because I don't see a problem.

Personally I think it's an liability thing .

I thought so too, until a couple of months ago, when my clutch pedal caught REPEATEDLY on the top edge of the mat. Was dangerous and scary, but I was able to easily remedy it, and prevent it from ever happening again, simply by cutting off an inch or two of material directly below the pedal with scissors. Why can't WeatherTech do likewise!?

You can see where I had to cut out a notch immediately below the clutch pedal.
