Convertible top won't completely close, and is uneven

I have a 2017 F57. The top won't completely close. The top comes up and latches onto the windshield pillars. Then the sliding sunroof starts to slide forward. However, it slides unevenly, with the driver side moving farther forward than the passenger side. Eventually, it binds and stops. Also, while the driver side maintains spacing between the top and the rail, on the passenger side the top dips down and lands on the rail. At that point it binds, and the whole process stops. I can reverse it, and back the sunroof part back to the neutral position, and raise and lower the rest of the top.

The gap from the windshield to the edge of the top is obviously not even. So the passenger side is binding.

Short of taking it to a capable shop (I'm in rural Arkansas), what are my options? I can take it apart. But is is something that I can get parts for? I really don't want to got the "emergency close" method and find out I can't even do that.

This particular problem doesn't seem to show up in other posts.

Open the convertible half way and look closely at the mechanism, springs and cables. It could be a loose or broken spring.
