OK go put the top down while wet?

We've been getting rain at night, but the days have been nice. So far I've been waiting until the top has dried before putting it down. Is there any reason not to put the top down while wet, aside from streaking on the windows? Any issue with water from the top dripping into the trunk?

*edit* Just realized the typo in the topic. Whoops.

No worries there, just don't leave it down wet. You DO NOT want mold to form on that canvas.

It's only a thirty minute drive and then the top goes right back up. I was more concerned with water getting into the back.

Shouldn't be a problem. Only one way to really find out, 'Dr. every time...' which goes hand in hand with motoring at its best, top down.

+1 dont leave down wet and i would not really open when wet. I would also make sure the back window is clean before you put it down, otherwise you will scratch the rear glass over time.
