I'm almost always the one who waves first.
Most MINIs wave back, but less than 10-15 years ago.
Not sure if I should really be waving at Countrymen, given their size.

Got a wave from a 3rd Gen Justa today. I waved back, tried to make it a casual wave like it happens all the time. Just me, tryin' to act cool, which, at my advanced age, is truly not possible, if it ever was.

I wave every time, but get few returns. I got a lot more in my 2nd gen MINI cars, but it seems to have fallen out of vogue :( My wife drives a Countryman and sees far fewer wave returns too.

COME ON GUYS, BRING BACK THE WAVE

I had a "wave moment" yesterday. Exiting the highway onto a 2 lane service road. Another gen2 mini in the right lane and as I was checking the lane we locked eyes, smiled and waved. She was cute, the woman wasn't bad either

I wave every chance I get. My daughters are really embarrassed by it 😎

Last weekend I was driving down town with my brg f57s top down and coincidentally met up with 10 other minis commng the. Other way... Met three more a couple a minutes later at the traffic circle in the middle of town... All of us waved at each other.

The north eastern part of Massachusetts seems to have a large increase in mini ownership recently. To bad all of the dealers are mid to South mass...

I wave to all the MINIs and rarely do I get a return except when we go to the MOT rally in the summer.
What confounds us the amount of waves we get from young people (we're old) in VW Golfs and slammed Hondas and Fox Mustangs. I wonder if it is because our JCW has lots of body mods and is lowered and rolls on oversize rubber.
Don't get me wrong- - we love the attention and wish the snobs in their stock MINIs would acknowledge our initial waves.

I wave at MINIs pretty religiously, and I am a third gen, previously from BMW, guy. We are still out there, but there are SOOOO many more MINI out there, not all of them can be enthusiasts.

I still wave, not too many people wave back anymore. In 2005 when I had mine new. I got the wave almost every time.

Got a 3rd gen Justa and I try to wave whenever I can, even to big ol' Countrymen. I had my first MINI convoy on the I10 last week. I creep up on a blue 1st gen MCS "ALOHA", waved and followed along behind him for a few miles. Then came along a 3rd gen MCS and it got between us and we formed a little 3 car convoy for the next 10-15 miles. That was fun.

I wave at MOTD, otherwise no. In ATL there's TONS of MINI's everywhere and 98% don't wave at other MINI's. Initially I did wave but after not getting them back it's easy to get discouraged. I'll return a wave but rarely initiate.
