What did you do to your F56 today?

I removed the engine cover for better hot air circulation.

Almost hydroplaned into a guard rail during torrential rain. The stock run flats are soooo bad.

No they arent't. I live in South Florida and we have torrential rain daily for six months of the year. I have never had a problem with the runflats on my F56 or any of the other three MINIs I've owned.

How would you know that they are the same Runflat tires? MINI uses different brands. Also road conditions and speed are a major factor.

I'm fine with my Pirelli RF's except for the noise.

Wow so I guess because you never experienced hydroplaning then that means it's impossible for someone else?

And yes the stock tires suck. If you think they don't then you certainly have never experienced good sticky non-runflat summer performance tires.

Nothing like a set of Michelin PSS.
Those are on my short list when these RFTs wear out (Not soon enough)

Winter is just around the corner for me, so hopefully there will be a set of PSS next spring/summer.

Do lots of smokey burnouts then get your PSS's!

Any fans of run flats, just let me know. I have a set in my storage building that came off my car within 2 weeks of me buying it. I'll Never use them so I'll give you a good price.

The best day of my R56 (RIP) was the day I ditched the Bridgestone runflats.
Couldn't get PSS for 16" at the time. Got Bridgestone S04 Pole Positions, took a week to get used to softer sidewalls, but man they gripped!!

one2three- great video! On fire the whole time. How'd you do? Didn't hear any cones thump, but that one at 1:08 looks awfully close... Or is the camera mounted on the right side- tow hook?

NO CONE AT ALL! It was how the GoPro was mounted. I wish I could get even more closer to the cone. Here was the layout

Wow, I've never had a course with a roundabout like that! Pretty sure I'd get totally lost! Did you take down any Porsches?
