LED Reverse Lights

Hello All. Several weeks ago I installed a set of the ZiZa LED Reverse Lights from a popular online provider. They work GREAT and provide a significant improvement over the OEM lights. However, I have noticed that when I first turn on the car they flash several times before stopping with no apparent other issues such as warning lights etc indicating a problem. Does anyone have experience with these lights and do you have a similar issue or is it some quirk within my JCW I wonder?

It occurred to me that a video may make it more clear what I am speaking of.

Yep, its what the LKM/lighting system does to check for resistance on set up. You dont see it with the old halogen bulbs, but you can see it with our Canbus LED bulbs. It does it on all MINIs. I call its the "police flash" on start up. Just does it once at start up only. Perfectly normal.

thanks very much for your reply. I left a review on the product on your website. Feel free to delete the bit about this if you wish. It was a good review but just mentioned this quirk. Thanks again

Thanks and your welcome
I did not see anything in the review about that, maybe its pending to post? If it comes up I will have the CS team contact you about adjusting the review, or you can just do another review and update. Some people do that. Thanks again for the purchase and I am glad you like them. Its the little upgrades that make the difference. I have them in my R52 also.

Those will strobe, they also will not throw a bulb out code, only the front positions leds aftermarket and back ups do that on startup only for a couple seconds. Then they stop, its the system doing a bulb check.

I dont think you can code that out, that's the system doing its thing.

I recoded mine with Carly to not to do the bulb check on the reverse lights and front fog lights. No more LED flickering.
