just respond to shawn and you'll get everything:

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...38188&page=443

due to the gray area of coding, any distribution of DL links i just direct to that thread.

I tried some coding myself on my new mini clubman. I know this isn't exactly the F56, but it is the most active topic regarding coding with e-sys.

I tried coding the option for video enabling during driving. I tried the options stated in the several forums, but everytime it switches back with the warning message. Does anybody know if this is completely different then the F56?

Other coding options did work for me.

Should be the same process. Are other coding changes taking? If not, double check and make sure you're following all the steps correctly. Make sure you're saving your changes in CADF and make sure you're clicking "CODE FDL" and not just "CODE"

Just wanted to add that CODE will program default values basically not applying any changes. It's not like one should never press that button as in some guides say.

Other things, if you program IHKA (related to the heater or AC) your AC light will blink and you won't be able to turn off the fan until the car completes a recalibration process. To recalibrate turn on engine and let it idle for 1 minute. After this the AC will start working normally and you will be able to turn off fan. There's no "magically letting it set in for couple hours" or "locking the car for 15 minites and coming back" to let it adjust. It's the calibration process that needs to take place. I also read that every once in 20 times or so the AC will redo calibration but I don't know for sure of this or it's hard to tell when it happens.

If you program BKOMBI your trip computer and clock will reset. No real side effects other than that.

If you program ACSM for seatbelt warnings and safety related stuff you will have a check engine warning light. You just need to use the error reset tools to rearm the airbags. The resetting tool is in ESYS external programs.

This is what I do on mine (my cheat sheet):

In my case, I will like to keep it on Green Mode all the time so my wife and mom won't go crazy with it

I think [IcmKod_B_Sportlenkung] works on BMWs, is there something similar for MINI? No ICM module on MINIs, maybe under BDC?

Quit teasing us!

Awesome. I was gonna say "spill the beans already!!", LOL.
I wonder if I set it to Green Mode by default, will the engine auto shut-off feature be always enabled? I usually press the idle-shut-off disabled unless I know I'm going to stand for more than a minute.

Happy Holidays....so just a few notes on how this code works.

- there is no "sport mode default" or "eco mode default" option.
- what does exist is "recall last setting". so if you shut off in eco or sport mode, when you turn on, it'll stay that way.
- the coding does 2 things...
- first, you have to ALLOW sport mode and/or ECO mode to be recalled.
- secondly, you have to activate the recall function.

now that the explanation is out of the way......

BDC
3221 PfFesMaster, 11

Fesallowmode7lastfunction - change to aktiv to allow eco mode to be recalled
Fesallowmode4lastfunction - change to aktiv to allow sport mode to be recalled -
Feslastfunctioninterval - change werte value to FF (it will show up as "UNKNOWN"..ignore it). this activates the recall function

save and test.

P.S. these settings only showed up after my ecu was updated after i had the bbk installed. on my original software (2/2014 build) it did NOT show up. if this doesn't show up for you, you know why. come up with a reason for mini to update your software.

Nice going! Thanks. I coded these changes too and it took it without any problem. I can now start in Green Mode if I was in Green Mode before engine shut off. I wonder why they didn't do this the default behavior, so that it remembers what Mode you were on. However, idle-stop is also being engaged as that may be a default behavior for Green Mode. It still remembers what the idle-stop function was when in Normal Mode, so there may be a way to code that too (so that it remembers the last state of idle-stop, or maybe disable part of the default procedure under Green Mode). I understand Sport Mode might not be too good for a cold engine so that may be one reason why it wasn't set to be remembered.

Question, how did you know Mode4 is Sport, and Mode7 is Green mode?
What are the other ones, Mode2 and Mode8?

To get a software update from the dealer, you can complain about the trunk accidentally opening caused by the remote button being accidentally pressed. Caused by a bad design on the remote. After the update, the UI on the speedo changes a little (temperature, green miles, they make use of more pixels) and my Green mode saved miles counter works much more reliably.

- Partly trial and error
- if you look a few slots up, you'll see more options that say "FesHasMode1", "FesHasMode2", etc... they all have "nicht_aktiv" except....Mode4 and Mode7. that led me to believe that sport and eco were 4 and 7. i'm curious what would happen if i made FesHasmode2 and FesHasmade8 active...would comfort+ or sport+ show up? i know for bmw's, sport+ is sport mode with some increased spin threshold.

i didn't care to try.

That's what I'd like to get figured out someday - Sport+ is basically Sport mode with DTC on/DSC off.

Wouldn't it also include M+/- (auto) gear mode? I notice even in Sport mode, if you shift to M+/- it'll stick with higher rpm before shifting.

What would Green+ mode bring on top of Green mode?

Not sure - MINI doesn't have a Sport+, but on the some BMWs (usually M-cars) I know Sport+ is as I described above. Don't know what else it does, if anything. It may very well not be possible, but will try this weekend.

It has been a while since I have last coded my car. After seeing that you can get the car to remember sport mode I wanted to give it a try. I got everything installed but when I use the esys launcher premium it gives me the esys splash screen then nothing else. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks
