Well, It is time to Upgrade My Stock Turbo!!!

I have a JMTC Turbo On The Way!!! From Stock 43mm to a Hybrid 50mm Turbo...

Super S F56 Turbocharger 2.L Engine - JM Turbo Coopers (jmtcperformance.com)

I will add an open 3" Exhaust (Hand Made) to finish the Installation. This should push me up at least 50 to 70 HP IMO. We will see...

Just control the Boost and Adjust the Turbo...The Stock Engine should be OK

Stock Turbos put out ~15psi...with my Mario ECU Tune I am putting out 21.5psi...

With the New 50mm Turbo I will have to play with it a bit...

Probably go and see what kind of HP it puts out and Boost PSI...

Right now with my stock turbo and upgrades I am putting out ~ 270hp...Aiming for about 60-80 Horsepower Upgrade with the JMTC...Fingers Crossed...

even if the HP only goes up 30-40, if the Turbo and Mini doesn't start losing Boost/Power at 5800 rpm I will be OK...

totally stock untouched turbo only pushes 7-8 lb.s according to my Mini store My dyno readings were 300 FWHP & 247 hp @ the ground. I pushed 354 lb.s of torque. Stock Block - when I red-line it pulls strong the whole way.

So you don't have to dig into the motor? Our JCW exhausts are 2.75" website refers to the S exhaust at 2.5", not that it matters as they're demanding 3". 1-2K for a 1/4" larger exhaust..
Good luck of course and always keep us updated.

I get 15lbs out of my 2013 JCW.

I will do my last three races this year before I add the 50mm hybrid turbo. I will probably look into an upgraded Clutch Conversion and a 3" Open Exhaust.
I do not want to miss the last Three Runs this year!!!
Next Year I am thinking about going to SCCA Nationals Autocross if everything works out for me...

Ideally the exhaust back pressure should be the same as boost pressure. Any higher exhaust back pressure, you lose performance. Exhaust back pressure twice the boost pressure, you lose your turbo.
Thats why they recommend 3"
