FWIW, I also paid mine off about two months ago. In Florida, all titles are kept electronically unless a paper copy is requested, so they can hold it for me.

After about a week or so, I received a “Thank you for choosing MINI Financial Services” email, with a link to a survey about my experience with them (I have financed all four of my MINIs through them and this is the first one I have paid off). I am quite happy with them overall.

Everyone gets the same letters and emails from the dealerships. Used cars are fetching a premium right now and they are trying to get as many as possible. My loan was also at 0.9% and they also offered me a new “deal”, as they have the entire time I have owned the car. My easy answer is to delete the emails and throw away the letters. No need to seek attention by complaining about it on an Internet forum. The local Chrysler dealership wants my wife’s 2019 Pacifica too. This is what car dealerships do, regardless of brands.

The day you drove your new Mini home, you signed a contract. When you made your last payment, you fulfilled that contract.

What? No thank you letter, no letter stating my loan was paid off?

Wait!!! My selling dealer sends me a letter offering me $13K for my car in trade in for a new one, and my payments will
be $43 less than my previous loan!!! Hmm my previous purchase had pretty much no down payment, as it was 0.9 % interest
I inly gave them the equivelant amount of the sales tax as a down. And Im into using OPM (other peoples money)
What a joke, my cars worth $20K in this market, and damn if Im going to pay sticker for a new car!!!

Welcome to the automobile sales industry and I do understand your outrage. Don't take it personally. It's the nature of the beast.

I paid cash for mine and the only person that actually thanked me was my sales guy (who, by the way, calls occasionally and at Christmas to ask how we are doing and how we are enjoying the car). This sales guy was the most honest and best sales rep I have ever dealt with (a rare bird indeed). His dealership on the other hand, sends me insulting and laughable trade-in offers for my car.

Hmm, I thank all my clients for their business when a project is done, and the check cleared! Many times a gift.
Welcome to the business world!!
All I wanted was a loan completion letter.
You know, the one that says thank you for us not having to repossess your car, and lose a boatload of money!!
Thank you for doing business with us, as we know there are many car manufacturers to pick from!!

Thank THEM for lending me money? No, I paid them interest, they made money. They made a sale.

I always sell a BMW product, before the warranty runs out, but right now is not the time to get anything new.

Will wait until chips and transportation pipelines return.

Would it be better to just lease in that case? I finance my cars and do gamble with paying for repairs post-warranty but I had my R53 for 11 years with no issues other than a thermostat.

Purchase or lease, its all based on the negotiated price of the car.

Not a good time to negotiate.

Skating on the edge here. Keep it civil.

Take it down. It's insulting to anyone who hates prejudice. I have been a member of the MINI community since 2008 and have enjoyed the colorblindness and the respect between sexes within this large community. "Karen" is no different than the negetive slang words used to label the different ethnicities in the US. None of that ******** should be tolerated.

Though I'm always hesitant to edit out other people's views, I have cleaned the thread up. I understand some people were expressing their views and crossed into offensive content, perhaps without realizing they had crossed a line.

Let's all take this opportunity to reflect on the value of civility and respectful dialogue.

Thanks.
