Hey all,

I'm considering the Mini roof box part no: 82732223388. Does anyone have the interior dimensions of this? I'd like to know if it'll fit my snowboards/skis - which is one of the intended purposes of this box. If anyone has the time to take some quick measurements, I'd really appreciate it!

I’m pretty sure those are the exterior dimensions unless someone knows otherwise.

Does anyone actually have this roof box and can get inside the box with a tape measure?

 

I had that thought as well, but they posted the interior volume, so it would make more sense if it was the interior dimensions. But your guess is as good as mine

 

I might try to get some info from my local dealer and see what's what.

 

Local dealer measured for me over the phone; 68” x 22” inside dims.

I didn’t get the height though.

Now I need to see if it will fit my car with my aftermarket crossbars.

 

Tough to measure the height accurately without the CADs. Should be about 14.5”. I fit a ton in mine today. I’m travelling so no tape measure but I can check.l when I get home. If it’s for skis/snowboards then height will be fine.

Thanks. Yeah I’m hoping to fit two snowboards (156, and 149) and a pair of skis (140). Not a dealbreaker if it doesn’t fit the snow gear, but would be nice. Maybe use for camping gear as well.

 

There is an additional ski attachment you’ll need, and then you strap the skis and boards down. At those dimensions I don’t see how it won’t fit. I have the mini sliding ski rack as well and I love it gear isn’t protected but simple to load and unload.

 

@F56-JCDub Did you end up picking one up, or go with something else? I know it should fit, but haven't seen this fitted on an F56 before. Most people with this box have it for the Clubman or Countryman..

I see this stock photo here with it installed quite far back. Wonder if the hatch can open like this

 

I did get one. It fits fine with one exception: there is some interference with the JCW spoiler when the box is pushed all the way forward with the MINI crossbars in the stock mounting locations. The hatch can't fully open. Otherwise, it fits just fine and can hold three snowboards, a pair of skis, poles, and helmets/gloves for 4 people. Boots in the boot.

I plan to try to move the crossbars forward a bit to see if I can get the box to mount without interference with the hatch spoiler.
