Mini JCW finally in a class it should be...(TIRE)SMF
Finally placed the DarbysMini in a correct SCCA AutoX Class...Street Modified FWD...Running on 200 Tires so put in Tire Class. ..TSMF...Yes, it still weights in much higher 2750# than it can #2125# but it is still up front...

is tsmf a local thing? Does not exist here, hard to compete on 200tw against 275 width hoosier A7s
I don't miss the build max to class warfare of autocross
Yeah this was always the frustrating part of AX when I did it. There were literally 100 car max entry and they had 25 different classes. Albeit it was part of PCA (Porsche Club) so the Mini ran in the "X Class" which was the all non Porsches. Having said that everyone with Porsches figured what class had the least amount of people and then they modified to fit in that class so they could say they won a AX Title. Whoopy you won an AX title and there was one other person in the class. We had one lady in a GT3 and she won 8 years in a row and blew up all here social that she was an 8 time champion. Guess how many people were in her class besides her? 0.
Lol, I might be the only dumb-*** that ever won a Regional SCCA Class Championship in ASP.
I was not the only person in the class, but... it's a long story.
In '04 the R53 with the JCW "trunk kit" (which I had lovingly installed at Mini of Peabody) was almost banned, but instead relegated to ASP.
I was joined by a lovely gent in a prepared as hell RX-7, but we were both beginners and learned together. Both of us bolting on Hoosiers and trying to figure out what to do with them....
I learned a wee bit quicker, but he overtook me over time most certainly.
I have retired from AX, not really wishing to fight for DFL in STU. All's well though, Lord knows I had my fun over 15 years.
Now I live vicariously, so I appreciate your tales Darby.
