North American Motoring - F55/F56 Zaman's 2015 MCS Rockett

Hey Guys, I'm just creating a thread to keep track of the progress on my 2015 MCS. we picked this up as an addition to the current stable (2008 BMW 528i, and my GF's 2015 VW Jetta). I was starting a new job in March and needed something small to commute in, that gets good MPG's, reliable, and (lets be honest) it had to be fun. I looked at some other manufacturer's and just kept coming back to the MINI.

Once I decided on the MINI, I knew it had to be an S (I love the aesthetics & POWER), It has the lighting package and sport stripes. After a couple of weeks of casual searching, I went on a 3-day test drive binge with a bunch of cars.

I even posted a poll on my Instagram stories (@besthombre) and even though it wasn't 1st place, I don't regret it:

The VW GTI, the Fiat Abarth, the Audi A3, I almost pulled the trigger on the abarth, but my last stop was at the MINI dealer and well. It felt so familiar, coming from the BMW 5 series, so I pulled the trigger. Plan is to do a really clean, OEM+ style car.

The battery cover had this foam thing that was ripped up. Salesman said it was probably mice or something. First order of business was to rip off the foam.

I'll post and update the thread as I install mods!
