Flashing brake light module install.

Any ideas on how to remove this trim piece?

I’m thinking of installing a brake light flasher and I assume the 3rd brake light is accessible behind this trim.

You can either use your fingers, credit card, plastic trim tool and wedge under the plastic part where it meets the glass and pull up. Pretty simple to do. After the first time you do it you realize it literally takes ten seconds to accomplish this.

That is the point, to be noticed so you don't smash into me. Not you specifically but the kid who is texting, maybe it might catch their attention.

The brake lights are not supposed to flash, only the third brake light is supposed to

Try being in LA stop and go traffic for an hour behind a flashing 3rd brake light. Especially if you have epilepsy.

Also "flashing" is technically illegal, "strobing is not"
Flashing is defined as cycling completely on and completely off
Strobing means the light never comely goes out.
None I have seen strobe!!

LA Traffic would keep me out of the car. Here in Portland several dealers seem to install them as routine and hit up the customers on new cars for the add on at crazy prices for a $20 or less part and a ten minute install. So they are everywhere.

In LA, you have no choice, public transportation is a joke. If you do use public transportation, an N100 mask, and surgical gloves are a requirement.
NO JOKE.

Down here it seems to be a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealer almost mandatory item. More like a $10 part for $250!!

that’s what the dealers want you to believe.
When the $250, is a small print add item.
