Intake and engine cover photo - Just wanted to share

I just wanted to share a photo of the intake and engine cover in my F57 JCW.

I installed the intake a while back it is the Eventuri Carbon Fiber unit that makes the hood scoop functional, it a nice piece and very well built. I just added the CarbonMINI Engine cover, it is also a beautiful piece (not entirely sure it was worth the price (500$ shipped and took a month to get) but it looks great.

I moved the JCW Badge from the factory plastic intake cover to the center of the Eventuri intake track, seemed like a nice spot.

Looks sharp! A bit pricey, but looks good.

I totally agree (on it being pricey) The Intake is a really nice piece that makes the hood vent functional and comes with the carbon fiber vent, it also makes it so you can hear Turbo ByPass Valve noise/flutter which is nice. So it is kinda worth the price.

The CarbonMINI part is well built but I think the price is . . . well way high. They did not even include the MINI badge in the center you have to take that from your old cover and put new double foam tape on it to re apply it to the carbon cover. I only bought it and paid the price as I really thought the intake needed it to make it all look correct.

I looked at that CF piece of pretty for several months before finally deciding to have mine done at my Body Shop. Couldn't bring myself to pay the price. I'm happy with my intake and can't afford to take the loss on that to upgrade to the Eventuri. I like the way yours looks, but think I'll stick with what I have.

That intake and painted cover look great! I really like the red accent bolt/screws you added. How do you like that intake?

Looks great! There's a member in my club that's selling the same cover but they're asking $400 for it. That's still a lot but I'm with you on it helping to complete the Eventuri look.

I like the intake. A lot. Like the eventuri, it’s a true CAI, but much less expensive.

vetsvette, where can I get those colour accents for the bolts? Reminds me of Pro-Bolts I had on my motorcycle.
