MINI Peabody - special on JCW pack?
Hey, so Mini Peabody has a deal on the JCW package as an "all in one" installed price of just over $1200. I've been bouncing back and forth between this or the DINAN stuff. Any thoughts? My opinion is I like the idea of putting factory parts on but really, it comes down to cost/benefit.
Also are a couple gratuitous shots of my car

That is a really great price.
Wonder if that price is for JCWs only, which don’t get the tune? I thought the tune takes several hours of shop time... also wonder if any shops sell the unused JCW model tune certificates on the side? Still a good price, but truly a bargain if it’s for S models including tune as well!

That is like getting install for free. But right now I wouldn't do the JCW exh as there has been too many issues with the flap not opening or working right and MINI hasn't sorted it out.
I stick with the recommendation for the Remus race exh with the flap as it is much lighter, has multiple modes, and works with their app so you can set what rpm it opens and closes without even using the button.

then just use the dinan sport module and you are about the same as the JCW kit if not better

Tuning Kit
OK, so bumping my own thread. Put the car in for the JCW Tune pack. Price was correct with one exception: the tailpipes (which are actually pictured).
Should be picking the car up on Wednesday.
So if anybody is on the fence and local to the greater-Boston area, go for it!

I was told by 3 different dealers that the tuning kit is being discontinued. Part of the reason is it can no longer be sold in Europe on the new S and JCW due to the new particulate filter the gas cars have.

They've actually added the JCW tuning kits to the build configurators. The $1220 price is the MSRP for the kit, with the exhaust tips at $220 for the chrome or $535 for the carbon fiber. It's a steal compared to the pricing on the Countryman kit which is $2300 and the Countryman doesn't even include a front silencer like the F56/F57 kit does. Well worth it even at the Countryman's pricing, I wouldn't have bought the car if it wouldn't have been an option.

the midpipe on the f55/56 JCW tuning kit is a cat.

The F60 countryman kit can still be sold worldwide because the JCW tuning kit is a midpipe back exhaust. The tuning kit still retains the stock secondary cat and resonator or in Europe it retains the use of the new particulate filter.

well, got it. I gotta say its kinda underwhelming. The car's a bit quicker, the throttle is definitely twitchier. But if I'm completely honest, at $65 dollars per (perspective) horsepower, I can't help but feel like its just a bit of a let-down.
*** EDIT****
So I brought it back this morning, they sorted it all out. I think it was a matter of no road test and the end pipe needed a minor adjustment. no more hitting. It does scream though but I was kinda hoping for a bit more hutzhpa.

What he said. The difference should be pretty noticeable! There have been a couple cases of the programming not being installed right. I think if you have the head unit with the medium or large screen, there are some graphics that would have updated. I guess there is a horsepower gauge or something? Not sure what other indicators there are, but check older threads.

I reached out to a couple people in Europe. They confirmed all jcw exhausts were pulled from sales as if september 2018.
