Review: Raceseng's New F5X towhook parts
Raceseng has some nice new parts for the F Series cars. All the items are what you would expect from Raceseng. High quality and attention to detail, and, everything fits like a glove. I'll post pictures of the parts first and then pictures of them installed on my F56. All parts are made in the USA.
First up is the Tug Plate, a license plate mount utilizing the front tow hook mounting point. FEATURES • Ball joint mount allows complete plate articulation • Plate can be adjusted in or out from front bumper to tighten fitment • Multiple plate mounting locations • Works with all license plate frames https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...9ff94221c.jpeg Next is the Tug Plate View. A GoPro mount for the Tug Plate. FEATURES • Works with any GoPro case with a dual ear mount • Adjustable camera angle up \ down and left \ right • Simply bolts on with 2 screws https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...89f03518e.jpeg Tug (Shaft + Ring) These can be purchased separately. FEATURES • Available in black, graphite and red powder coated finishes • Simple ring locking bolt keeps the ring in a vertical or horizontal position • Engineered using FEA analysis and tested to SAE standards • Capable of 9,000lb straight pull https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...12f4305d8.jpeg Tug View is a GoPro mount for the Tug Ring assembly. FEATURES • Works with any GoPro case with a dual ear mount • Adjustable camera angle • Rigid mount provides stable footage • Keeps camera tucked close to the front or rear bumper https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...7ca3951ac.jpeg Tug Tool V2. I personally recommend the V2 over the original because it is beefier (X2 thickness) and it has a bottle opener  The Tug Tool is used to aid in the tightening of the tow hook shaft nut. In certain installations, there is very little space left to fit a large 25mm wrench. The Tug Tool is designed to be a thin wrench and makes installation and use easier. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...0c492755e.jpeg And now for the pictures of the parts installed on my "Lightly Modified" F56. Tug Ring https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...1645aaf4a.jpeg Tug Ring + Tug View https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...9e48cd40f.jpeg Tug Plate + Tug Plate View https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...a078edc80.jpeg And finally a couple shots with a GoPro installed. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...1d651aba1.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...15cb54836.jpeg You can't go wrong with these parts. The quality and fit are top notch. They would be a great addition to your car before you head to the Dragon this year. Installation is super simple. Installation instructions are available on the Raceseng website shown below. I highly recommend these parts to anyone. I'll say up front that they're not the most inexpensive parts out there, but you get what you pay for in this instance. https://www.raceseng.com/installation-guides Tools required: Tug Tool or 25mm wrench 20mm socket + ratchet 4mm Allen wrench 3mm Allen wrench 5/8" wrench is nice to have for tightening the knob that clamps the camera in place. I keep a short ratchet wrench in the car for this. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...0b07db5f3.jpeg |
Looks great! I love the front mount option

If i lived back in VA, I'd definitely pick these up over the cravenspeed, since i hate suction mount gopro mounts. Nice write up!

That's bad ass, I haven't seen this yet. Seems I got some googling to do!

That looks really good, nice review. They make some great stuff. Shift knobs in red are awesome.
