Just curious, when I put my 2014 F56S into park, it rocks forward slightly, not all the time but it happens. I questioned my dealer and he stated that this is a normal thing with the MINIs and there's nothing that can be done. Should I be concerned?

 

It is because of the backlash in the geartrain. There is a small gap between each pair of gears for an oil gap and so they are quiet.

When you lock the input of the transmission all the gaps between the gears stack so the wheels can move a surprising amount. That is why you also have a hand brake, to mechanically lock the movement at the wheels.
