My New Rare 2016 F55 Carbon Edition

Well guy and gals after many years of not having a Mini, my new wife said she loved them so this is what we bought! I can’t believe I actually found one of these and at a price that was well below market, no accidents with only 26K miles. We have had it for a couple of weeks now and I have already added many mods per the pictures. I loved the JCW floor mats and Gear shift covers as well as the JCW Side Scuttles I installed. I have the JCW rear view mirror cover coming in soon also. My wife loves carbon fiber so I added a few pieces there but not the really expensive stuff. The steering wheel covers are crap and I am replacing them with new ones.

Congrats and nice Carbon edition. Nice find, not many around.

The crew is all here:

Thanks it truly is an amazing car much faster than my 2010 Clubman S was for sure. After we have it for a bit I most likely will want more power and most likely will get either the JB+ or NM module.

Yep, that would be my next mod if I had a Gen 3 MINI. The dinan elite gets up to +58HP/88TQ. It will piggyback over your JCW exhaust tuning kit set up.

Welcome to the Carbon Edition Club! I bought mine new in 2016 and have over 65,000 miles on it now, and still loving it. Shoot me a PM with your email address if you want to see some pictures of what I have done to mine or search my threads, as I have uploaded a few shots in the past. It's a unique model for sure. Good Luck with it and have fun modding it!!

Well guys I am sad to say that my wife really doesn't care for the car now even though she is the one we bought it for. She says its smaller than she thought and it rides harder than she would like even though this car does have DDC..lol.. and now wants something much bigger a Jeep..go figure right! I just listed it for sale in the classified ads here and on autotrader too so if anyone knows someone looking for an amazing Carbon Edition please send them my way, very much appreciated! Car is perfect no issues and is a blast to drive for me but if I could keep it I would but don't need a third car.

That's a drag, but a harsh ride will do that. Hope you have a quick sale. I had a 2017 JCW for a year without the DDC. I tried bigger 50 series non run flat tires, but the ride was still just too stiff for the older bones. Traded straight across for a very low mile 2018 fully loaded certified S with just 6100 miles-it has the DDC. With my tires swapped out, the ride is much more to my liking.

Yes the factory run flats are hard because they have to be designed that way and I don’t mind the ride I like a firmer ride but of course since they are basically new tires had we kept the car I would replace them with non run flat tires like everyone else does when they wear out. If I was financially able I would definitely keep the car for me as it’s so much fun to drive and puts a smile on my face every time I get the chance! I am sure once the right person sees and drives this car it will sell easily too.
