F55/F56 Aftermarket Seats and Airbag light

Aftermarket Seats and Airbag light
The last change I want to make this year is a set of aftermarket seats. Does anyone have a workaround for the airbag light that comes on after the stock seats are removed?

The subaru fix was a resistor but it sounds like that doesn't work

I have seen the resistor mod with gen 1 and gen 2 MINIs and recaro seats. Have not seen anything really for gen 3 yet. I know people put some recaros in gen 3 MINIs but they said they just coded the light out with NCS expert.
