What's that red light under the rear bumper?

It doesn't seem to do anything. I tried the brakes and lights. Is that a dummy for where the fog light is supposed to go? Can it be made to work?

Those are fog lights from what I understand and they are functional (even though they are not working when you buy the car). Some guys have connected them and got them working.

Likely you'll get more particulars as more answer. Vetsvette got his operational for sure.

The bulbs and wiring are present, but you have to change the headlight switch module with the appropriate part and have the function programmed via e-sys. The dealer won't program it because it's not a listed option on your VIN. There is a lengthy thread on here that lists the part numbers for the light switch.

1) buy module, code car to enable fogs...done.
2) splice wires into existing taillight or backup lights and use as additional...not a fan of this option myself but i wouldn't mind using it as a backup light.

#2 seems like it would be a more useful option, especially if you wired in an on/off switch.

If I had someone to do that for me, I'd have done it already. I'm too old to be crawling around under my car for that stuff anymore.
