Back in a MCS - And LOVE'n IT!

My first was an 06 Mini Cooper S, more than 80K miles, trouble free (except for 2 thermostats). LOVED that car! Stupid as h*** to get rid of it.

I have been looking for a gently used one and I found it! Located a 2014 MCS in pristine condition with 24K miles. Automatic, and according to Mini Cooper, not affected by the crankshaft bearings since its the 6 speed auto. Vin check revealed it was put into service (sold) on June 24, 2015. I still have warranty until June 23, 2019, and I plan on buying the factory warranty before that date. It is a bit pricey, but may be worth it. At my age, I may be retiring and seeking a part-time gig doing something, so I may keep this beauty for a while.

I am glad to be back! I already am being contacted by the local Mini Cooper Club members, who are excited to see I have snapped out of it and once again on the fun side of the fence!

"Cheers!"

Nice car LtRex. Looks brand new!!

I just did the same recently. The day I got rid of my Mini, I saw one on the road and immediately regretted my decision. I'm 3 days in on a new F55 S after a 2 year break and vowing to never not be in a Mini again!

I'm soon to be back in a MCS! I had a 2007 R56 that I loved but it started exhibiting the dreaded problems. I traded it in, in 2011 for a 2008 Lexus IS 350. The Lexus was nice but I immediately missed my MINI. I always vowed that one day I'd get a MINI, again. That day happened on Thursday when I ordered my 2017 MCS in British Racing Green II! I'm as excited as I was 10 years ago waiting for my first.

Welcome back to MINI. Is that another Iced Chocolate F56? Yours looks JUST like mine when I took delivery.

Yes, I added tint so the picture isn't exactly the same.
I've since changed my wheels for summer; I still use my Victory spokes for the winter. There aren't many out there; enjoy!

Ironically, while I live in Chicago now but I'm from your neck of the woods. In true STL area fashion, I went to Lafayette. Must be something in the water.

You made a great choice.

Nice find......something about these cars that you never want to be without one. Congrats.

What color is that, it looks sort of plum in the pix. Yea the R52 cabrio was a fine mobile, legendary almost and you got it in the last year of production too.

Iced Chocolate Metallic. It's mostly a deep brown but there are flakes of purple and blue in the paint. It's a cool, underappreciated color IMHO.

It is the Iced Chocolate! Love the color, don't see many and what a great look when clean and shiny! Funny you mention high school, it is totally a STL thing! I went to Oakville.
