F55/F56 When is the 2017 Cooper S due out?

Model year typically changes over in July production so you'll see MY2017 MINIs in probably late July/August depending on where your dealer is. Haven't heard of any significant changes - I'm sure packages will move around again and they just changed some color options in the last couple months anyway.

2018 refresh?
I was also wondering the same thing, and curious as to when the 2018 models will be available, as this will be a refresh year. Looking forward to know more about the upcoming changes! Anyone has some deets to share by any chance?
My lease is up in early August 2017, so I may be tempted to extent it by a few months if necessary (and if my dealership allows me to do so), to wait for a 2018. We shall see!

But although I wasn't sold on the F gen at first, I'm now tempted to try this new platform, and maybe treat myself to my first JCW!

Really? Was this an official announcement and does it apply to North America? Not too disappointed about the secret compartment, but I love the driver's door sun visor...

New F56/55 will be due out August or September, expect them in dealers between September and October.
They make changes monthly. As an employee I get the little bulletins that they put out. There is never an explanation as to why, just the facts of what they are changing - i.e. the changed light switches, the symbol for the power folding mirror button, the loss of the seat flags, the missing hidden compartment, etc.

I have a 2016 F56 that I ordered that's due to arrive in Port H around 18 July.
What I noticed, along with all the already noted changes with the 2017 Cooper and Cooper S models is the 16inch silver victory spoke wheels are now available only in black. I'm so glad I got one of the last 2016 slots as I would not have wanted the black victory spoke wheels.

I noticed today while playing with the configurator that one of the packages is missing... it was called 'media package,' i think. it included the center armrest and enhanced bluetooth (you know, stuff that should come STANDARD...), as well as the smaller media screen.
But now that it is gone, it looks like the screen and armrest are there standard, from what the pictures show. I assume the 'enhanced bluetooth is standard now? These items are still listed as 'extras' that come in the "Fully Loaded Package." Anyone able to elaborate?

A LOT of confusion regarding the side visor - in the US, it is still standard. Other countries maybe not so.
It's not a package anymore because it is now standard across the board MINI also finally realized that "stuff...should come STANDARD" Enhanced BT with voice is now also included.
Any new MINI you were to order would now be a 2017, yes. MY2016 production ended in June, with the exception of the F57 JCW Convertible and the F54 ALL4 Clubman which started as 2017 models early a few months ago.
