So about 4 months ago I had my 2014 F56 in because the radio basically stopped working. Took them a month to get a replacement. Long story short is that I can no longer get text messages to show up in office. I have an iPhone.
On the iPhone, when I go to Settings/Bluetooth/MINIxxxxxxx and hit the info button, there is no longer an option to send Notifications. I distinctly remember having to check that to get sms messages to show up.

Anyone have an idea what the problem may be?

Which radio? There are 3: basic, boost, and boost XL.

I've never been able to get mine to work with the boost radio. Don't have the option on the phone while others do have the option. Another MINI annoyance.

 

No idea. Boost maybe? 6" screen. No nav. Came with HK upgrade. It worked previously using some tips I got here. Nothing now.

 

That sounds like boost for sure.

I know how you feel. I have boost, no nav, and have never been able to get it to work. MINI tells me it will not work with iPhone but others here report is does work. Dealer says "we have no idea".

I've never been able to get the "show notifications" under Bluetooth -> MINIXXXXXX (i) button.

When in Office on the MINI iDrive I only see contacts. Sorry man, wish I could help but I've never been able to make it work. Please let us (me) know if you find a solution, I've tried everything with no luck.

 

I recently got an iPhone 6S and no longer receive text messages. I have no idea why, but they don't show up. My 5s showed up perfectly.

 

I haven't checked in a while, but I can next time in my car. Last time I tried it, it did work though. I do connect via Bluetooth only, however.

 

I thought this was part of the update- that you lose the text message information as well as the google maps send to car- legal crap..
