Retrofitting Driver's Assistance Package

Anyone think it possible to retrofit Driver's Assistance Package? I see the parts numbers on RealOEM are 66212289725 for the front + rear camera, 66519338298 for the control box, 61319307225 for multifunction switches with Active Cruise Control and 61319354188 for the hazard switch with assistance system I wonder if with these four things installed and maybe a bit of coding you can get the package installed, the only other thing I was wondering was whether the fact that I don't have the parking assistance package matters or not, because I know in the US to get the Drivers Assistance Pack you need the Parking Pack, but in Europe you don't.

When it comes to MINIs - anything is possible if your bank account is big enough...

However, I'm betting that given the amount of money in parts and labor as well as the amount of time it would take to actually do the job that it would make better sense to just buy a MINI that was equipped with it instead of retrofitting it...

While of course, anything is possible with enough time and money, it definitely would not be cost effective and no dealer will do this.

Aside from the parts you mentioned (camera unit, there are actually two control units you would need: the SAS control unit and the KAFAS control unit, different steering wheel controls, different turn stalk for the Auto High Beams, different hazard/Driver Assist buttons), you would also need a whole new wiring harness for the car (MINI does not use just one harness...they are custom for each car based on equipment), plus you would have to somehow code it in to work.

Of course, you would need at least the Connected XL screen, but I'm not sure if the other equipment would be necessary....IF you could find a way to code it in without that equipment being present...

66212289725 is the Factory add on for the Advanced Car Eye Camera - Front & Rear .

We have the MINI Advanced Eye kit from Europe. It act like a Back up camera when it turned on. Also has a front camera, main unit. Universal set up from MINI. Has a little eye camera out the back and shows up in half the screen, pretty cool. In other countries its used for safety and video taping like Russia.

I cannot [yet] even retrofit the back-up camera, even though I have MINI Connected XL, and Parking Assist. That should be a cinch compared to what you're contemplating, and yet...

I've been looking at different dash cams, because I need front and rear I was thing of ECS tunings' 66212289725 kit.
Is there anyway to get a copy of the installation/operation instructions for this kit?

It looks to be a generic kit for mostly earlier European Mini's, so I can't tell if there are U.S. F56 specific instructions or if it's all going to be guesswork. Any prerequisite options needed to install this kit, or can it be installed in a Base justa?

I checked ECS's site, and It's not real clear if there are viewable LCD screens on the back of the cameras or if it's a plain back with the MINI logo. Checked all over and can't find any information on any site.

Works just like the BMW version:

Here is a shot from the Euro forums. Front and rear set up.

Install PDF attached, For ALL MINI, its a universal kit. Only shows install for the F56+ , but looks like a tap for power, power turn on and ground is needed.
