I'd modify as follows:

1. Turn on ignition but do not start car (also I'm unfamiliar with why sport mode is important. is it? note: the vehicle mode doesn't matter wrt the various coding settings for "staying in sport mode")
1.5 Put phone in airplane mode but then turn on wifi
2. Connect phone-Wi-Fi
3. Start Bimmercode.
4. Choose which changes I want from menu.

1. Start car in "sport mode" and plug in Vgate-I want to program "last start mode-In sport mode.
2. Connect phone-Wi-Fi
3. Start Bimmercode.
4. Choose which changes I want from menu.

Turn car off and restart and check changes.

If I want to have the back fogs act as extra brake lights, I need to:
1. Go in expert mode and "activate" rear fogs.
2. Go to expert mode and change settings (previous posts) to activate change to rear fogs.

Am I close? Thanks.

Thanks. I wanted it to program to start in "Sport" mode. It appears that the app has "start in last mode" setting to get it to do this.

I think that "start in last mode" means it will start up the way you last shut the car down. So if you drove in Eco mode and shut the car off it would next start up in Eco mode. At least that is the way I understand it. Haven't coded that as I don't like to put car into Sport mode until it warms up a bit.

Right so basically code it to stay on sport mode then shut it off once it's coded.

Then, turn your Mini completely on (when the engine starts), switch it to Sport then shut it off.

Next time you turn it on, SPORT MODE!!!!! The greatest code you can do for your Mini! I seriously could have stopped with that code right there

...... but I didnt

Also, her is my post I made to make the fog lights work as brake lights: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ml#post4351648

Yes and no.

It remembers your last setting so it will start in that the next time you turn it on. If you would shut it off in Eco mode (barf) it would start up in Eco mode (barf barf) the next time you start it up

yes and no. it does remember the last setting, but you have to go to each mode (ECO and SPORT) and enable recall to work on them. the code is doing 2 things. 1 parts enabled the mode recall and then the 2nd part is allowing it on specific modes. i currently only have SPORT mode recalled only. this means the following:

- turn off in sport, turns on in sport
- turn off in eco, turns on in normal

Got it to start in "Sport" and legal crap gone on startup. Cannot get mirrors to fold and unfold-have comfort access and folding. They do, however, unfold at 5km. After the last dealer update, they would not until 50km (how dumb). Android version. thought I would solve this before rear fog as brake lights.

As I understand it, it is not possible with the Mini F nor BMW F series.
But its ironic, as double blink hazards are mandated in the EU>

Hello Miniac's!

I sold my R52 Sidewalk for F57 2017 Pack JCW exterior/exterior and want 2-3 coding

I wish to open and close my mirrors without comfort access. Also I'd like to open the convertible roof with the key and night mode off for the ODB.

I tried with Carly without success. BimmerCode is better, I managed to activate some fun stuff:

- Tires temperature
- Sport mode by default
- No more start / stop
- Glass going up and down even with open door
-...

Has anyone done what I'd like on a F57 ?
I removed comfort access when I ordered my Mini and now I regret it.

Anyone know if it's possible to do any coding to make traction control less aggressive? I have a diff, and I find that it works best with DTC enabled. DTC is annoying, though, because it isn't compatible with cruise control. It seems like there has to be some happy medium, right? Maybe something that would be the default on a Challenge car or something?

You want to make traction control less effective?

Just shut it off completely then, hold the toggle for 3 seconds?

I've tried using Bimmercode with my Android phone to code my 2018 Mini. On my first attempt, I made a handful of changes and hit Code. I received a message that the connection wasn't strong enough, and the app disconnected from the device. On my second try I attempted to only make one change. That worked. I tried again and got the same message I got the first time. Every time I tried again I got the same message. I'm giving up for now.

Coding via WiFi with Bimmercode is excruciatingly slow. Is there any way to use a cable with a MacBook Pro (without using Parallels or any other Windows app)?

If you enable "slow connection" in the app it seems to work a little better. Ive noticed the ones with a bunch of coding, Body, etc... take a long time to load compared to ASD which only has a few parameters to code and it opens fast

Do you have to leave the OBD plugged in or can you code and remove? I've got a JB4 so been hesitant to buy the app.

I would still prefer a wired connection if that's available to me.
