I have a local that can do it if it's like the Bimmer coding. On my last car I had him add the autofold mirrors and ability to roll the windows up with the key fob.

I was looking into it as well and found someone who does remote tuning. He will send you a list. Bmwminicoding@gmail.com.

Can someone post that list please?
Anything going on with programming hidden features? I'd love to enable bluetooth streaming on my basic infotainment system. The hardware should be all there already.
Are you guys using the ODB-to-ethernet connection onto a laptop?

THIS is the forum I used and found them to be very helpful.
Is your car an F56? If so, you will need E-Sys and the correct data files and an ENET Cable

I don't have many bells or whistles on my F56, but coding allowed my windows to roll up with the key fob, fog lights on with high beams, and my tail lights have glowing rings even when headlights are off (just running lights on in front)

I don't know where you're located, but I took mine to a sorcerer in SoCal. No magic wand or talismans, just a cable and laptop.

It takes about 26 GB of most likely not legal software downloading. That is for the E-Sys. The cable is Ethernet cable (confirmed by DarkBlue15MCS) which you can make yourself or just buy from ebay for less than $10. I don't know if I'm going to do any of this.

I spent 3 hours installing a dash cam (Lukas LK-7200), hooked up to the fuse box. Funny that the manual doesn't even talk about the fuse box. I had to look everywhere and there was a small paper manual inside the fuse box.

my cable is arriving early next week (or hopefully this weekend). i've got all the software and documents ready. when done, ill plan to put together a quick write up. there's definitely a bunch of things one can do via the coding. one i've already noticed is the "proper" way to disable active sound

these are the features that are *supposedly capable*

- disable welcome 3 dongs
- remove seatbelt reminder light
- remove seatbelt off chime
- disable Active Sound Design
- start car w/out cluth pedal
- increase angel-eye brightness
- close windows/sunroof/side-view mirrors from key fob
- change triple-blink to another value
- turn off amber side markers (euro style)
- tilt passenger mirror when in reverse
- turn on brake-force flashing when hard braking
- turn on fog-lights with welcome lights
- turn on tails with DRL's
- activate rear fog lights
- dvd-in-motion activation
- enable sports displays (power/torque)

a few more but that's your general listing...

You should be able to code most of the codeable BMW features. It is technically a BMW.

Oooh I want these!
What software do you need to get into these settings?

if you feel like doing the research yourself, then here it goes. mainly need 4 things:

- E-Sys (~65MB)
- psdzdata files (26GB)
- E-Sys token
- E-sys cable

- the newer e-sys versions are needed as we have newer cars. if our car was older, we would be fine with an older version
- your psdzdata files need to be compatible with the e-sys version you're running.
- e-sys cable is really just an ethernet cable with an obd2 adapter at the end.
- the token is necessary to run the software. consider it a license.

i'm going to be running e-sys 3.26.1 with psdzdata files v2.54. a google search can be used to locate all these files. (*hint*: online forums will give you 20+ download links for the psdzdata files....so your'e better off locating the torrent). if you find the right e-sys 3.26.1, it should come with a generic token although it is recommended to purchase one ($30)

the cable can be purchase on amazon or ebay for about $20 shipped.

the cheat sheet of codes can be located here: http://www.bmwesys.com/guides/

please use the F56 docx file to assign your codes but read the "beginners Guide" PDF in order to properly configure the software.

disclaimer: you are screwing with your ECU. if you mess up, you just bricked your car. i personally do not know what the repercussions are if this happens and you have to explain it to your dealer. am i still doing it? yes i am.

Here are a few additional coding options I have come across that are currently confirmed to be working for F56 series cars (sorry if any are duplicated from above, just a few I noticed that are interesting)

-Disable Legal Disclaimers (Startup, Cameras)
-Enable Tire Pressure & Temperature Readings In iDrive
-Fold/Unfold Side Mirrors With KeyFob/CA
-Disable Window Safety (Allows One Touch Up Window when Door Is Open)
-Radio/Nav Turns Off When Door Is Opened (After Pressing Stop Button)
-Disable Auto-Dimming Side Mirrors
-Disable AC/Climate From Automatically Turning On When Car Is Started

Do the side mirrors auto-dim from the factory? I don't think mine do.

Just a little correction on @MarcoPolo statement.
For a simple FDL coding, it won't brick the ECU. The only time you will have a chance to brick the ECU is when you are doing a firmware upgrade or VO coding.
How do I know? I've coded hundreds of BMW.
Also, the PSDzData, you can get the light version just for the coding purpose. You only need the full 26GB version if you are going to do a firmware upgrade.
The new Esys 3.26.1 supposedly able to be used with a tokenfree solution. I have yet to upgrade mine and test it.
As far as the Enet - OBDII cable, it is easy to make, but I bought mine from this Ebay link.

i'm far from an expert and speak only on what i've read...and i've been reading a lot...i would lean more towards what r33 has to say. that being said...yes 3.26.1 does ave a "generic" token that says i can use it but i'm waiting for the cable to arrive so i can test it. i did import what came with the files and it took.

r33, to enable enhanced blueooth, it does require VO coding. based on your experience, is this doable or should we avoid this. this would enable the "mic" button on the steering wheel for voice prompting.

Based on my Experience on BMW's, that button should be enabled by default with or without Enhanced Bluetooth.
It does require VO coding to enable the enhanced bluetooth.
What it does is pretty much just enabling the office features and 2 phone paired simultaneously. And while on the BMW, it is also enabled video via USB media port.

i'm of the minority that only got the boost radio, not visual boost w/out enhanced bluetooth. while the button is there, it does NOTHING. confirmed w/dealer when i called him and asked why it wasn't working.

Hmm, we can try VO code it and see if it work.
Let me know if you need help, I can do it remotely via teamviewer.
