Driving in Green Mode

Couple questions. How do I get the car to remember the last used driving setting (Sport / Mid / Green). I want the car to stay in green mode however it keeps reverting back to Mid each time I start up the car.

Also, when in green mode, how do I get the instrument cluster to automatically display the digital speedometer. It always reverts to how many miles gained using green mode.

Not possible to get the car to remember the Green mode setting. It will always start in Mid.

The second part of your question might be possible using the settings for the instrument cluster, but I don't think it is. I think the instrument cluster settings are for the green mode bar which you can uncheck, but that's it.

Unfortunately, both items are a manual process each time you start the car.

It will stay on the digital speedo if you don't turn on Green mode. If you disable the green mode choices in the Instrument Display options, it might stop it from switching away when you enter green mode.

I actually wanted to be able to specifically show the digital speedo WHILE driving in Green mode since that's my preferred driving mode. I've tried deleting the green mode options, still showing up with the green mode savings bar.

It will always default to the mid mode. It like having a heated seat on when you stop & leave the car, the seat will be be off when you re-enter the car the car .

If this is the case, then Mini is crazy for thinking they could get away with doing the EPA tests in green mode.

It's funny you say that. If I exit my car for a short period and leave the seat warmer on, the car will turn it back on to the same setting when I get back in. It seems to work when the car is off for a short time. I don't know the limit.

I get what you're saying about Mid mode but you got unlucky with that example.
