When I ordered mine 10 days ago (Jan. 17th) at the dealer, he said the computer only showed 137 kits available in the US.

I was told there is an issue that needs to be addressed hence them pulling them. But again my dealer could be just making it up. Just a little frustrating that everything on the f56 has been put on hold. Barely got the JCW aero kit installed, which took over 3 months of ordering parts.

I cant imagine 137 kits sold out within like a week or 2 of releasing lol.
So maybe they are doing some sort or recall on those kits or something....

Will check back with my dealer a week or 2 later and see

I highly doubt there is a recall. Mine was just delivered to the dealer a week ago today.

Do you have a 'definitive' list of all the parts needed to carry out a JCW aero kit retrofit?

I know MINI have not yet released the kit on a single part number as a 'retrofit' however, the individual parts can be ordered up from the dealers, but I'm not too sure about what is actually needed?

Bumper carries / new brake ducts etc?

The Aero kit was very difficult to do after the fact. Dealer did most of the research but there are still little pieces like the mount for the rear pdc sensors that cannot be ordered. Luckily my dealer had a MINI came in with the aero kit that had a defect and were able to pick parts off of it..

The video clip doesn't really do it justice. Get it!!!
How much did the dealer charge for installation if I may ask? I just got a quote of 10 hours @ $129 per hour, which seems excessive.

That's ridiculous!! Total cost for me was $2044 for the kit, and an extra $400 for the install which includes the reflash.

+1 on looking for the parts list on that aero kit. I'm looking for the side skirts. My local dealer looked it up and found one part 'JCW side black kit' or something and described it as being entirely black, which may just mean that it requires painting for the body portion.

I love the lower body color look on the aero kits, but I'm not into paying that cash for the whole kit... the F/R bumpers and etc are maybe too much for me... especially at $2500 for the package...

Thanks for the info, that's much more reasonable that the $3600+ I was quoted. What dealership did you use?

Update....

I spoke to MINI and the part number is 34112352872

The kit is priced at £1270 inc VAT here in the UK, which I think is good value!!!

The kit contains:

For the front:

2 x 4 piston Brembo calipers in red with JCW logo
2 x 335x30mm drilled and grooved discs
2 x sets of pads
2 x sensors
2 x backing plates
All mounting hardware

For the rear:

2 x rear calipers & carriers painted red (same as Cooper S, just red)
2 x rear plain discs (same as Cooper S)
2 x sets of pads
2 x sensors
All mounting hardware

Its odd that the disc size is quoted by MINI as 335x30mm and NOT the original 350x30mm size that was originally suggested????

34112352872 looks like not out for the US yet. UK always gets the release a month or two ahead of everyone else. Like Germany with BMW parts.

Edit** its here now! https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/34112352872/

My dealer had to log onto the BMW system in Germany to get the info as its not showing on their systems either.....

Im very confused about the disc size being revealed as 350x30 at first and now it being listed as 335x30 instead???

Called ECS, it shows on the website but MINI is still blocking any orders to resolve a Engineering issue that they discovered after the release. I have been told by MINI USA that it should be available within two weeks. ECS said you can order it and be put in queue for it as soon as it has been released.

Found out what the hold up was today - The Exhaust tips on the JCW Exhaust sticks too far out and they are afraid of people getting burned like on the R53. Legal will not let them sell the kits until they are modified. I am sure most of you remember the Lawsuit that MINI went through about this during the R53.

Thank you for this update! I've had the tuning kit for over a month now and was getting all worried when I read there was an engineering problem. Like it was something serious with the reflash, etc...
And for the record, the exhaust tips seem fine to me....not at all sticking out too far
