F55/F56 Poll: F56 Owners - Previous MINI Owner - Yes or No
Soon to be a first time owner! I've been wanting to get one since the 1st generation of the new Mini came out.
Placed an order for a 2015 2 dr hardtop S, manual, Electric Blue with black roof and bonnet last 12/11. Packages ordered are Sport, Cold Weather and Media.
I used to have some 3-series BMW in the past;
E30 325e
E36 325i
E46 328i
Current drive is a Subaru Impreza sedan 2.5 RS.

The MCS have been built and now awaiting transport. It was built at the Oxford plant as stated from Mini's Owner Lounge.
We're in the middle of moving onto our second generation as a MINI family!!
My 2012 Countryman S came first then a couple weeks later my wife followed suit with a 2012 Hardtop S. Just a couple months ago I ordered an F56 which should arrive this week and my wife just brought home a 2015 Cabrio! She couldn't let me go first this time

Would you mind posting some pics of your EB F56? This is the color I think I may be set on.
Traded-in my troublesome '10 hardtop cooper S and drove out a '15 2-door hardtop cooper s. Ownership experience so far, is much better with the newer model. My previous mini was towed 4 times to the dealership before it even hit 8000 miles :-( ...
5500 miles with the new mini and no issues till now :-)

1. 2006 R53 MCS a few mods and a factory aero kit
2. 2009 R55 Clubman S with very few aesthetic changes
3. 2012 R60 Countryman S with modest aesthetic changes (tint, vinyl, etc)
4. 2015 F56 MCS still sitting at port
This reflects my family and child rearing trajectory!

I owned a 2004 S that I bought new. I loved it but had to sell it to buy something "more practical"in 2006. I just bought a 2015 S yesterday and take delivery next weekend.
PS: I have also owned four classic Minis over the past three decades: - a '59 Mini Minor, a 64 Cooper, a '66 Cooper S, and a '68 Cooper S.

Previously drove a '94 Pontiac Sunfire and a '04 Dodge SRT-4. Not really an illustrious car history. Proud first time owner of a 2015 F56...5 months, and 7,000kms in, and I love this car!! Trying to convince the girlfriend to pickup an F55 or hold out for the new Clubman when it comes out.
2nd Mini for me. The first was an '09 justa cooper that I traded in with 91,500 on the clock for a 2015 justa. So far I really like it - much more refined than my beloved '09 but just as much fun!
2 weeks ago, I traded in my '06 Royal Gray MCS:

for a 2015 Blazing Red MCS 4 door:

Clearly, in that same time, my photography equipment (and skills!) were upgraded :P
my new MINI feels great- IMO, Gen 3 still feels strongly rooted and connected to the road, but with some nice quality-of-life improvements. I never imagined motoring with heated seats and dual zone climate control :P I can still find performance (when I need it) in Sport mode, and Green mode (along with automatic engine power management!!) makes city driving less demanding on the wallet.

I was wondering how many F56 owners are or were 1st or 2nd Gen MINI owners.
Apparently this forum doesn't allow the creation of Polls so we'll have to do this the old fashion way ... via posts.
F56 Owners, please post which F56 model you own and then indicate whether or not you've ever owned a previous generation MINI. If you've owned a previous generation MINI specify the year and model and period of ownership.
Thanks

2013 Countryman JCW (Totaled)
2014 Countryman S All4 (Sold)

In late 2009 I sold my 2008 "S" to CarMax for what seemed to be a good price, and today I drove home a new 2015 "S" (MT, Sport Pkg., DDC, Storage Pkg., Red color line). I'm sure I'll enjoy it and expect to keep her for a long time. Now I have to figure out all the ***** and controls.
Another first-time owner here.
Ordered a MCS F55 BRG with white trim two weeks ago.
As an English bloke living on the east coast of the US, it's sort of inevitable I should be driving one!
My dad had a '75 or '76 British Racing Green cooper which he called Fred. Felt it was the right thing to do to get the same colour.
I've never had the money until now, but after a really good year financially, I've finally been able to take the plunge.
Weirdly, I've always put a Union Jack sticker on the bumper of my previous cars. The Mini I have on order has no UJ embellishments whatsoever. :D
