I don't understand why Thule doesn't sale the rails as a pair. And for the money, throw in the keys. Talk about greedy.
Did you have to buy a fit kit or any additional attachments to get it to work with the mini?
You have the 7601-B which is the "Small" and "B" is black?

Debating now to switch. So streamlined...

I also have the Yakima Q-towers setup on mine. I don't like it as much as the bolt-on style of the OEM racks I used on my 2011 WRX, but it is very sturdy. The loud bars are loud and finding the locations for the Q-clips is a little tricky. I left mine on all through summer and just removed it recently since I think I'm done riding for the year.
The Q-clips did not cause any damage to the paint, although the vinyl stickers slid off a couple as I removed them. I'll probably just wrap them with electrical tape next year. The rubber around the roof trim went back to its original form and you can't tell they were ever there.
The Q-towers themselves left only minor swirls on my white roof which were only visible under the bright lights of a gas station at a certain angle. I'm very weird about swirls and scratches so I was pleased with their minimal impact. I washed the car and waxed the roof immediately before installing the rack. I also wiped off the rubber base of the Q-towers with some Meguiar's plastic protectant stuff.
I have an old Yakima set up from my previous car that has all the correct parts except the clips! Good thing I never got rid of it!
One question though, I see on the Yakima site that the roof has an indent for the clips. I peeked under the trim but couldn't find it. Am I missing something?
Btw. Nice color combo! I have the same only no bonnet stripes.

the measurements they gave weren't a huge help since the front edge of the Mini roof is curved so I didn't really know where to measure from.

yep, you won't be able to see them. Yakima recommends sliding a credit card back and forth until it drops into the recessed area where the clips will go.

I am looking to purchase the Thule Aeroblade for my 2017 MCS F56. Mine does not have any rails or roof rack right now. Can this be installed on a car that doesn't have rails? If so, how wide of an aeroblade should I be buying?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I have Thule 48" long Round bars on my 2015 F56. I think the length is perfect, though a couple inches shorter would be okay too. I would not go wider. The F56 has notches under the rubber seal that hold the clips for the Thule feet. I keep mine on in the summer, to hold the Kayak, but usually take them off in the winter.

Can anyone confirm where the aeroblades fit a 2017 F56 without a roof rack?

I. Am. Impressed. Did an 8-hr road trip at 70-80MPH in high winds with no issues. I can remove the rig easily myself, and no marks on the roof. The back end of the roof was a little tricky -- had to slide the suction cup closer to the pano sunroof because of the curvature at that spot -- but everything went extremely well. As directions say, I double checked the suction status at every stop, but I do that anyway (discovered huge bubble in my tire once, and made it a habit.) The wind noise was a little loud at first, as I wasn't used to it, but it still wasn't bad at all. Funny, but I could hear the zipper pulls clinking together just above me, over the wind noise, windows down noise, and radio, so the rig's noise obviously can't be THAT bad! And these can fit any car, so I can use them on Husband's BMW X4 or our truck too. Very sweet deal - thanks for the suggestion!

@DeepBonnet Hey, I'm considering a 2015 2 door S with no roof rails. I'm wondering how that arrangement for the Yakima worked out for you? Any issues? I may not be able to stiff find the clips, but if I can I'll have to go this route. Otherwise, I have to kill the deal and find one with roof rails.
