How important is the Dynamic Damper Control on the MCS?

I've read that it makes a noticeable difference but in order to get it I would have to take the next level Cooper and spend about 4K more. The rest of the additional equipment means not much to me. Except for the sunroof, maybe.

Is it worth it? Is it necessary?

For 500.00 I say yes. Although, not sure how much of that is in my head when I have tested it.

You could always go for the charming, torquey 3 cylinder turbo and add the DDC - then opt for aftermarket tuning for extra hp. Saving $, better fuel economy matched to fun to drive is always a great combo no?

Obviously I don't have it but from hanging around the F56 forum I gather that people who do usually leave it in Sport all the time ie they don't change it to the other 2 settings. I think I'd only get it if I drove on rough pavement a lot and wanted a softer ride. I think some UK owner who drives on crap roads liked his.

Exactly... 80% of the time i'm in Green, nice and soft. Only when i overtake the porche's, audi's, trucks, and the like do i switch it into sport. The roads here are terrible. Best $500 i spent (next to the $250 storage package).

my $.02
