Thanks to Pam Davis for catching Gollum III at the Evolution Challenge School. Pat Salerno rocks!

 

So Gollum III just came back from Mini of Peabody. The OEM wheels and original Hankooks are back on, the racing belts are gone, the spare tire is tucked back where it belongs, and everything gleams and smells new courtesy of the Detail shop.

I've the next few days for a last dance with this wonderful car, and then it will be traded in for Gollum IV.

The new owner will be pleasantly surprised I hope, to find a beautifully maintained and remarkably quick Mini in their possession, and I surely hope that there will be as many smiles ahead as I have enjoyed for the last three years.
