Anyone know the status of this? I tried a search but didn't come up with much. tanks

Says the support from BMW/Mini is still slated for the future. I've never seen anything about it on these forums.

Much of what CarPlay can do is already covered by MINI Connected, just with a differing displays and all the 'fun' of getting Connected working just right.

Yeah I have been wondering about this too. Can't say I am terribly comfortable with my entire infotainment system dictating which phone I buy. I read that Mercedes is going to make Carplay work with older cars and am wondering if the current system in the mini would accommodate for that?
