F55/F56 Opinion of stripes

Hey, I am based in the UK but I guess any vinyl shop or vehicle wrapping place can do it. I just worked out the widths I wanted and then picked the vinyl colours. Lots of amazing tones available now, the matte metallic red is real cool.

It seems like there are not many that get clear bras on thier Mini's. I'd assume that you'd cut the clear bra to go between the stripes, it probably wouldn't work going over top of them.

Exactly right.... thanks, I'll mask them off. I think if I were getting a Mini I might go without the stripes, but my wife seems to like them and it will be her car.

For the OP question: I had a slight concern about paint fade, but it didn't deter me from having stripes. My MINI's are garaged and I use a quality sealant to help protect the paint from the sun.

I have a 2005 Mini Cooper S (R53) with bonnet stripes. The car is dark silver, with white roof and white stripes. My stripes are OEM and they've held up great! I bought the car used, very recently, with 80,000 miles on them, and the stripes look great. There is very light wear on them, with the only serious blemish being a chip (but that happens to paint too). They haven't faded at all - maybe because they're white - but they look nice still. If you're into stripes, get them! Just take some extra care of them. There's some great threads on the detailing 101 forum regarding stripe maintenance. Enjoy!
