Driver's window movement

Anyone notice that the driver's window moves slightly down when opening the driver's door and then back up after the door is closed. Air tightness issue?

I heard the Minis were doing this now too - sweet. I have this on my Porsche and its a nice feature. Pops down to open the door than back up after you close it. It allows the window to seal into the glass tightly but get out of the way as you open the door.

The very first Mini's did/do this, and was because of the frameless doors. I remember at the time it was the OMG thats so BMW feature. Oh and need to open the interior door handle twice to get out of the car because of the auto locks, which my dumb ass passengers at the time could not understand ultimately resulting in a broken interior door opener. Man those first cars were a chintzy riot!

Good to know as I don't plan to ever sit in my passenger's seat.

Angry, we had fun with the two pull handle as well. The joke would always be "let's see fi they can get out". I could see someone pulling too hard though and breaking it. On a positive note if they break it they are stuck in your car until you can get them to sign a promise to fix. The new handle set up is much nicer with the locks finally on the doors.
