F55/F56 Mini sitting at the Distribution Center for 1 month because of BMW?
Mini sitting at the Distribution Center for 1 month because of BMW?
It arrived at the port on 4/16!! It was supposed to arrive at the dealership on 4/28. Now, it's been updated to 5/14! When I talked to my sales rep, they said for some reason the trucks are only delivering the BMWs! Mini and BMW dealerships are side-by-side.
WTF is that?!

Delay at Distribution center
make sure they are not fixing damage done in shipment. Not uncommon for them to do repaint if damage during shipment. Be sure and check it out closely when you get it.
I don't get it either. My baby arrived in Baltimore in the early hours this morning and my MA called today to say they should have it mid next week and did I want to pick it Fri or Sat? Maybe they damaged yours somehow and trying to slip another one in it's place. Did you get your VIN off the owners lounge? You may want to check it when you finally get your car.
Heck I just wished mine would get on a boat. Been at departure port since April 17th and they don't have a clue when it might be loaded. They keep telling me it's on schedule but when I ask what the schedule is they don't have one. I guess it's easy to be on schedule when there is not one to get behind on.

What is your port? Do you know the schedule of ships, I'm just wondering if there's a difference in frequency of the routes taken. I know with mine it was either 4/26, 5/5, or 5/10. I got lucky and it's on the 4/26 ship. But those were the routes from Southampton to NYC.

Mine is "scheduled for production with no known production date"
How can it be scheduled and not scheduled? LOL
From what my MA told me is that it is already unloaded. They just had a new ownership at BMW and are doing building construction/work on it too. I don't know why the new owner is pushing back all the Mini's. Does he enjoy filling up his BMW lot with unsold cars?!
I'm in the same boat!! Mine has been at the port since April 11th and since then every week delivery has been pushed back, my MA keeps saying it's because of the oil filter housing, but my car is and S and didn't think they were affected.
Well the good news is that I think I am getting that 6.5" Visual Boost screen for free
It's in the VIN and I didn't pay for it! That makes me happier... I still need to see it to believe it tho!

Called today and basically found out nothing. She didn't tell me anything except it was finished. She told me I need to talk to my MA and my MA tells me she doesn't know anything and to check online and she will update me wen she learns anything. I never got the online to work it will not accept my VIN or production number. I know info will not make it get here any faster it just sucks I can't find out anything.
Look on the bright side - at least your cars got out of Britain. The problem with the new diesel engine seems to have caused an almighty log-jam of Minis at the factory. There is even stories about perfectly good F56s sitting trapped at the factory parking yard by lines of diesel cars waiting to get new engines.
And if you think the roof paint delay is a problem, just look at the diesel situation - all diesel cars will need new engines and in most cases customers will be getting entire new cars. Now that's going to dent even BMW profits, ain't it?
