Picked my Mini Cooper S last month...

The car is really fun to drive and feels fast (subjectively) and so chuckable into corners and it really does put a smile on my face when in the mood!

I normally never into optional extras (apart from performance ones) in the past but this one is pretty well specc'ed

Options are -
Chilli pack
Leather Lounge Seats
Seat Heating
LED headlights/fogs
Variable Damper Control
Head up display
Harman Kardon
Visual Boost Radio
Chrome Line exterior and interior
Centre arm rest
Heated front screen
PDC rear

No plans to mod originally but I've already started with the JCW Tuning Kit and already looking at the JCW brake kit too once I find some wheels to fit over the calipers!

I wouldn't be in any hurry to change wheels as those really look the part! Wish MINI made similar multi-spoke wheels that worked on the JCW! Take your time because it's still slim pickens!

Tint looks awesome! What percentage did you choose? Is the windshield tinted too? I'm planning on tinting mine but not sure how dark I should go. I have the satellite grey interior so it won't look as dark.

It's only 50 front and 40 rear. Nothing on the windshield. The lighting at the time I took the picture gives it the appearance of being much darker.

Got my first MINI two weeks ago. I love this thing! I look for every excuse possible to leave the house and get some more time behind the wheel. Every time the kids hop in the say, "Daddy, let's motor hard!" My first mod will be some ceramic window tint followed by some LED driving lights.

The F56 uses LED headlights as the upgrade instead of xenons as in previous generations. As with anything, it could technically be done, I suppose, but it would be hugely expensive. It's not just lights. There are level sensors that are mounted on the chassis, wiring, control modules, and the switch is different too. Plus, the car would need to be programmed afterward. You'd likely be looking at $2K-$3K+ by the time all is said and done, if it's even possible. MINI released a xenon upgrade kit for second gen cars, so hopefully, at some point, they will release one for third gen cars too.

No. Second and third gen cars are completely different and have different engines and transmissions.

Not necessarily, but certainly a good baseline. Here's what BMW/MINI says:

CONDITION BASED SERVICE (CBS) – THE MINI CONCEPT.

Inflexible service intervals? No way! Servicing appointments for your MINI vary according to how often, how adventurously and how far you drive. In order to determine exactly when it's time for a check-up, your MINI monitors all of its important components itself: with built-in sensors, it can record the state of the brake pads or brake discs as well as engine oil or brake fluid levels. Using special algorithms, the MINI calculates all values in advance and then indicates when maintenance and servicing works needs to be carried out.

In this way, your MINI is serviced only when it's absolutely necessary, thus eliminating unnecessary journeys to service workshops − and saving time and money. And if you want to be absolutely on the safe side, then get a MINI service Inclusive package when you go in for your first oil change, or even earlier. For a one-off payment, all agreed services are covered completely − whenever they're needed and at all participating MINI Service Partners throughout the world.

You don't need to remember when this first oil change is due − because your MINI reminds you in good time of all upcoming servicing requirements. However, if you want to keep an eye on things for yourself, then you can, of course: All information is available in the Check Control Display in the rev counter or in the navigation system display in your MINI.

Even when you're at the garage, you don't need to put your memory in gear: your MINI Service Partner can simply read the CBS data saved on your MINI key and immediately see which servicing tasks need to be performed. After all, there are more important things to sue your memory for − such as the last sharp corner you took in your MINI, for example.

Drive Hard. Drive Safe. Keep Grinning.
