Anyone discover a free satellite tracker for mid-North Atlantic tracking. I gather T-AIS does not work when in the middle of the "pond".

Not for free.....there is an island it passes in the middle....after that you see it near the Panama Canal if you are a west coaster

Steve. Thought so. So it could sink in the middle and I wouldn't know.. Mine is going to Halifax so don't think there are any islands on the way. Last signal broadcast was 2 days ago....maybe a visit to church is in order!

Luckily there were no MINIs onboard.

ha ha ha used cars tied on the outside open deck, thats a hoot. your car will be underneath the deck. tied down and parked like sardines in a can. And as much as I love your pic Gregory, stop with the doom and gloom...... your car will forever be the best of the best in your area for years to come. getting your new baby will be your new pride and joy for long time to come. these days should be some of your best ever. deep breaths, warm relaxing soaks in the tub, SMALL sips of bourbon, and altho necessary......a good cigar puffed slowly. These Dr. Phil suggestions are not intended to heal or cure any side effects of your illness. As always consult your local family doctor before starting ANY program listed here!

Pre-delivery anxiety, post delivery therapy.

Yes you can track your ship away from shore...

http://www.sailwx.info

Go to ship tracker and track by vessel name. You'll need to know the call sign. It doesn't update often but it does work. At least for my ship which is currently half way across

Not all RORO's use sailwx. But some report daily. I hope you luck-out and have one that reports. A plus: besides knowing where your MINI is, you get an idea of the weather it's getting -- wind speed and direction and size of swells. On the other hand, that can be a little distressing if it encounters high seas You get to picture it straining against its tethers....

Ojedam. Unfortunately the sailwx position was back on the 13th. The current one I have on vesselfinder.com is on the 14th. It should be getting closer to North America soon so should get a shore reading!! Due into Halifax on the 21st...

My ship stopped showing on vessel finder on the 14th as well....just depends I guess on who the shipper is.

Mine says the 22nd MA told me his status said the 21st. Either way I'm getting close!

Good luck tracking.
